As soon as Duck Hunting season winds down, we offer the conservation season goose hunt packages. We typically offer hunts for the month of February and depending on the weather and the migration, that can extend into mid-March.

Here’s what you can expect! Our guides scout daily over the many thousands of acres of private property that we have, to find the feeds and to develop a strategy and plan for the next morning’s hunt. Our crew will be up in the wee hours of the morning setting up spreads so that when its time for your hunting party to arrive we are ready to go.

During the Conservation Season, a successful hunt is designed given the weather conditions, migration activity, and feeds that are team locates. When the geese are on the move and migrating in significant numbers, we will set up large spreads in proven flyways and utilize our comfortable in ground goose pits. When the Geese are located locally, we watch the feeds until they go to water and after reviewing the forecast for the next day’s weather, the team implements a plan for the next morning, which could include hunting out of layout blinds or panel blinds. Regardless, our goal is to put our customers on the birds

We offer a limited number of hunts during this time as we are focused on quality of the hunt and not just filling up a calendar with bookings. In fact, as mentioned above, we monitor the weather and migration to determine our plans for the coming days. If the birds have moved out of our area, we notify our clients and give you the option to either move your dates, cancel and roll your booking to the next season, or simply allow you to cancel your trip altogether. Our goal is simple: put clients on birds, having happy hunters, and make friends for life.
